A must-have insider's guide!
THE AUTHOR COMMENTS... In this book, I not only share my experiences, but many of my colleagues from New York Celebrity Assistants (NYCA) generously permitted me to share theirs as well as a way of giving the reader a truly accurate picture of who we are, what we do and how we do it. As the book took shape, I realized that these experiences directly applied to all professional assistants whether they work in an office or in their employer’s home or a myriad of other locations. These days, assistants are mobile and need to be able to work anywhere. Assistants have a great deal in common and much to say to one another. I find this out again and again when I speak at conferences and with groups of administrative professionals all over the country. The talented women and men who do this work go by many titles; Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Executive Aide, Administrative Assistant, Administrative Aide and Secretary. No matter what your title is, I have the deepest respect, regard and admiration for the important work you do. This book is for all of us. News! I am now teaching a class for Personal Assistants in cities across the country. Please check my Appearances page for more information.

It is now official that after 25 years of working with actors Olympia Dukakis and Louis Zorich as their Personal Assistant, I have joined the staff at New York City’s Bespoke Institute to design and teach the newest addition to the course roster, Essential Skills for the Personal Assistant and my book is used as the text. My career as a Celebrity Personal Assistant was enormously fulfilling and enriching in so many ways. I now know that the time is right to teach what I have learned. As a co-founder of New York Celebrity Assistants and as a speaker to groups around the country, I envision my career moving forward as working to affect positive changes for all administrative professionals and the people who employ them. I am passionate about this idea and determined to design a class that is relevant and actionable in today’s volatile and demanding workplace. My intention is to fill the wide gap that exists in the training of Personal Assistants. Dallas 2-day Weekend Intensive Workshop May 5-6 (14 hours total) Ft.
